FCSB achieved a great victory against the Greek team PAOK Thessaloniki, with the score of 1-0 (1-0), on Thursday evening, at the Toumba Stadium in Thessaloniki, in the second stage of the European football competition League, although it played almost a half in numerical inferiority.

The only goal of the game was scored by Daniel Birligea (45+8), and captain Darius Olaru was sent off for the second yellow card in the 55th minute.

FCSB achieved a hard-earned victory against a team in crisis, with three consecutive defeats in all competitions.

FCSB gets its second consecutive victory in the competition, after 4-1 against the Latvians from RFS, last week, in Bucharest.
The Romanian champion will also face Glasgow Rangers (October 24, away), FC Midtjylland (November 7, home), Olympiakos Piraeus (November 28, home), Hoffenheim (December 12, away), Qarabag (January 23, away) and Manchester United (January 30, home).

The coach of the FCSB football team, Elias Charalambous, said on Thursday evening that the attitude and effort of his players made the difference in the match won 1-0, away, with PAOK Thessaloniki. Asked if he is angry with Darius Olaru for the red card he received in the 55th minute, Elias Charalambous replied: "It's a football match, things like this happen. The referee made good decisions in general today, I have nothing to say."

Striker Daniel Birligea declared after FCSB's 1-0 away win against PAOK Thessaloniki, that his team achieved a miracle through their work on the field.

The coach of the Greek team PAOK Thessaloniki, Razvan Lucescu, stated for DigiSport, at the end of the match with FCSB, that in football there are periods when a team does not succeed no matter what it does to win.

The Romanian technician believes that his formation lacks the luck to score in such games.AGERPRES(RO - editor: Mihai Tenea; EN - editor: Maria Voican)
